Joe Gomez out for weeks: Liverpool in trouble ahead of Big Games!

Joe Gomez out for weeks: Liverpool in trouble ahead of Big Games!

Joe Gomez will undergo an operation on Monday to repair his broken leg. Gomez suffered his right-leg injury following a clash with Burnley F.C defender Ben Mee on December 5.

The Englishman could be ruled out for six weeks, which means he could miss big games against Manchester United, Everton, and the Champions League double against Bayern Munich.

With his leg injury, the Liverpool defender might lose his chances of making to the next England national squad.

Gomez was a mainstay in coach Jurgen Klopp’s side for the first half of the season. Speaking of the Gomez’s absence in the team, Klopp said,

It’s a blow for the boy and for us – because prior to the injury he was in such fantastic shape.

But he is too valuable to take any risk with, both for our present and future, so we get this procedure done and he comes back when he’s ready.

Obviously being out for longer than we’d first hoped for is hard to swallow but it’s part and parcel of the industry.

Sergio Aguero hat-trick helps Pep Guardiola’s side climb within two points of Liverpool

Sergio Aguero hat-trick helps Pep Guardiola’s side climb within two points of Liverpool

A perfect hat-trick for Sergio Aguero; a header, right foot and left foot. This was Aguero’s 14th hat-trick for Manchester City and 10th in the Premier League, bringing him one short close to Alan Shearer’s record of 11 hat-trick.

With a 3-1 victory over Arsenal on Sunday, the Pep Guardialo’s side is two points within the title challengers Liverpool.

Manchester made a blistering start, with Aguero’s one-minute goal. Laurent Koscielny pulled Arsenal back level in the 11th minute. With the Argentinian’s last two strikes in the 44th and 61st minute, Arsenal failed to snatch a single point in the home ground.

I Hated Criticizing Pogba: Man United Legend Paul Scholes

I Hated Criticizing Pogba: Man United Legend Paul Scholes

Manchester United F.C. midfielder Paul Pogba hasn’t been a much of player for one as costly as him. Since joining United in 2016 on a five-year contract worth €105 million, the Frenchman hasn’t been able to meet the expectations.

The start of the 2018-19 season was undoubtedly his worst in the United. While failing to impress, Pogba brought in more hate and it was the United legend, Paul Scholes, who has been criticizing him in recent months. Recently, speaking to Five Live Scholes revealed that he hated doing so.

Obviously that’s what Ole’s (Gunnar Solskjaer) done.

I’m not sure Allegri at Juve would have same influence on him. I’ve been one of his biggest critics. I hated doing it but I’ve played alongside him and know what a talent he is. He was playing for himself he’d lost total respect for the manager which I don’t agree with totally.

Now he’s playing with his brain and we’re seeing what kind of a player he is and can be.

After playing under Solsjaker, things have changed for the player and the team, in whole. In the 2018-19 season, Pogba has scored 11 goals in 28 appearances.

Mesut Ozil: No Longer in Arsenal’s Plan?

Mesut Ozil: No Longer in Arsenal’s Plan?

The lovey story of Mesut Ozil and Arsenal has been questioned for quite a time now since the 2018 World Cup debacle. With the rumors of a possible transfer, Germany national’s future in Arsenal is really knocking the fans!

Amid the rumors, Former Arsenal’s No. 10 has revealed that Mesut might be in Arsenal’s plan but the player only plays if he wants to.

Mesut Ozil only plays when he wants to play,

says William Gallas.

In early 2018, Ozil signed his new three-year contract with The Gunners, reportedly making him the highest-paid player in the history of the team. But things look to have slipped from his hands.

Emery has tried everything he can to try and get a reaction out of Ozil but the player isn’t responding. It is a very difficult situation for Ozil and for Arsenal.

Gallas believes, Ozil is having a hard time delivering the level of consistency expected from a player of his talent.

Everybody knows Ozil’s quality but he isn’t consistent. He only plays when he wants to play. Ozil should be doing more with the quality he has, he has to be the best player for Arsenal every game that he plays in.

With Ozil failing to deliver the best of his abilities, a move seems to be hit the horizon sooner. Where might Ozil end up playing next?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: ‘My Best Position is Striker’

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: ‘My Best Position is Striker’

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang loves to score! The Arsenal forward prefers to play as a striker and work in a two-man frontline.

Speaking to Sky Sports Premier League ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Manchester City on Sunday, the Gabon national forward opened up where he would like to be on the ground, the most of the times.

My favourite role is playing striker, in front. I also like playing on the wing, but I think my best position is striker.

No doubt, Aubameyang is pulling out great goals for the team. As stats speak, the 29-year old has scored 25 league goals in 37 appearances since joining the European side last January. Aubameyang netted his quarter-century faster than Arsenal legends Theirry Henry (42 games) and Ian Wright (51 games.)

I like to play with two up front, it’s nice because you can do some combinations with the other strikers.

He has formed a great partnership with Alexandre Lacazette, who has scored 11 goals from 23 appearances.

If the coach needs me on the right or on the left, it doesn’t matter, I go and I fight for the team, it’s no problem.

Well, Aubameyang has shown his skills both, up front and on the mid. He just seems more comfortable playing in the front.

Chelsea 5-0 Huddersfield: Gonzalo Higuain’ Chelsea’s New Show Man

Gonzalo Higuain seems to love England! After an underwhelming performance in his first appearance in the blue shirt in a 0-4 loss against Bournemouth on Wednesday, Gonzalo shows how it’s done.

Higuain who joined Chelsea on a loan for the remaining of the 2018-19 season braced the second goal in the 69th minute.  The late one came from David, who headed in from a corner in the 86th minute.

Ole Solskjaer: The Reds can make it to the Top Four

Ole Solskjaer: The Reds can make it to the Top Four

With five debacles in 15 matches, Manchester United had the hopes of making into the top four blown away. With Ole Solskjaer’s arrival, the tables have now turned. The Norwegian football manager has led The Reds straight to six consecutive wins and a single draw in the league game so far. The Reds are back for sure!

The Reds were 11 points short from making to the top four when Solskjaer succeeded Jose Mourinho in December.

With Solskjaer on duty, United are just two points adrift of their Champions League dream. The 45-year old has managed to stand high on the expectations but February seems to be tough for him and the team, as well. With upcoming games against Chelsea, Liverpool and Paris Saint-German the manager is going to have a tough period.

I feel it’s very [well] equipped,

Solskjaer reflected on the squad heading for the upcoming clash in February.

We’ve had now six weeks together. We’ve found out what strengths, weaknesses we’ve got.

I think we’ve risen to most of the challenges, maybe of course the setback of the two Burnley goals we conceded, maybe they will make us move to the next level because I think we’ve given ourselves a chance now to get into the top four maybe earlier than we thought.
